Grand Pageant Emergency Update - Please Read and Forward!
There was an accident this morning on the northeast side of Indianapolis - a propane truck had an accident and exploded. Local Media reports that 465 will be closed on the northeast side of Indy through at least rush hour tomorrow, so this could very likely affect individuals who are driving up to Saturday's event early. At present, they have not been able to evaluate the bridge that the explosion occurred near, so they cannot determine if it is structurally sound and when it will be open for traffic again.

With that in mind, it is probably a very good idea to assume it will be closed and make travel arrangements that do not include this corridor of 465 on the NE side. Revised information on how to reach the site from various locations is provided below. People coming from points North of the site are unaffected.
For I-70 coming from east of Indianapolis: Stay on I-70 West, going towards downtown Indianapolis until you reach I-65 North. Take I-65 North to 465 E on the North Side of Indianapolis. Take the 31 North exit, and proceed with the directions as originally written.
For I-65 coming from south of Indianapolis: Stay on I-65 North until you reach the north side of Indianapolis. Take 465 E on the North Side of Indianapolis. From 465, take the 31 North exit, and proceed with the directions as originally written.
For I-74 coming from east of Indianapolis: When you reach I-465 (on the east side of town), take it North as you would normally, but get off on I-70 W. Follow instructions as in I-70 example above.
From I-74 or I-70 coming from west of Indianapolis: When you reach I-465, take it North as you would normally. It will become I-465 E and you'll get off at 31 North. Your route isn't any different than before. Refer to the original directions to get the rest of the way.
Anyone in Indianapolis itself - you'll want to make your way to 31 Northbound without using 465 on the northeast side of town. West siders aren't particularly affected by this.
